The morning mist greets me, softening the view beyond my garden fence. A night of spring rain has left the plants dripping. It's a long weekend, the usual  traffic noise is missing. All I hear is the cooing of Morning Doves and bird songs from the avian family's that live here. This is the perfect time to capture shots of my lilac trees in bloom. With their soft mauve and creamy white blossoms, they help filter out the busy world beyond my yard.   SaveSaveSave

As all creative folk will attest when inspiration freezes up, the white of empty paper looms large. We often move from project to project like a prodigal butterfly never really settling on anything. I find it slightly amusing that it was some other white stuff that cured my latest white paper angst. While stuck in by the latest Ice storm I suddenly found that my longing for some warmer weather sent me back to my collection of flowers. Serindipity

  Finding visual magic happens so frequently that I usually carry my camera. Even though phones can take great shots I still love the versatility of my Fuji. I was on my way to the Toronto Outdoor Art Show a few years ago when this scene unfolded.   As I stepped out of the Eaton Centre there she was lost in telling an ancient story oblivious to the bustle and roar of the city centre. Renewal

   All began with threadbare carpets. They had served us well but replacements were definitely in order. When changing flooring painting the base boards is a must. With all that going on painting the walls became the next natural step. Of course with all of this happening it meant packing up china cabinets and book shelves. Over the last two weeks my painting hours have been devoured by boxing up my world.
